“Superheroes vs. Cancer” is a gentle, informative children’s book that explains the concept of cancer in a way that is accessible, supportive, and compassionate for young readers.

Through clear, child-friendly language and illustrations, the book explains how cancer cells hide and evade the body’s defences, and introduces superheroes who fight cancer: doctors (oncologists), chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy, which work together to fight the bad guys.

Written with empathy and care, “Superheroes vs. Cancer” aims to equip children with knowledge, comfort, and hope, helping them better understand and cope with cancer’s impact on their families and loved ones.

A simple and effective way to explain cancer to kids without overwhelming them!

What a great way to present such a complicated and serious issue to kids! My daughter was immediately attracted to the drawings and simple explanations, which helped her digest the vast impact of cancer and even offered suggestions of what actions she can take. The bits of humor sprinkled throughout the book were also appreciated. Highly recommended!
