It’s the beginning of a new school year. All the students in Miss Tansy’s class are excited.
Except George.
Everyone joins in.
Except George.
When George’s caring teacher, discovers that George is super at soccer she plans her lessons around George’s interests.
Find out what happens when even George joins in.
If the mark of a great picture book is that it both instructs and delights, then Even George seems set to do both. Anyone who reads aloud to children will welcome this wise little book, with its catchy refrain, its quirky but instantly recognisable characters, its subtle lessons for young and old, and its perfect surprise ending, which somehow manages to remain new every time the book is read. – Peter Adams, English teacher and educational author.

Amazon Review
This is an excellent picture storybook for a teacher, a teacher’s aid, or any student who might struggle to either fit in or keep up. I find it distressing that kids feel the need to ‘fit in’ but that is the reality in most classes, and most schools. This book is beautiful and a gentle way of introducing other ‘ways’ to bring children into the learning environment – their community. Well done to Carolyn Cockburn and her fabulous illustrator, Vaughn Duck.
